About This Journal

The Korean Association of Buddhist Studies (KABS) was established in May 2000, to provide a space open to all Buddhist scholars, serving as a society where active debate on academic research can be exchanged freely.
To fulfill our mission, we hold academic conferences, paper presentations, and workshops twice a year. Furthermore, we publish the quarterly Korea Journal of Buddhist Studies(KJBS), which has been recognized as one of 'The Journals of Excellence' by the National Research Foundation of Korea.

In this era of convergence and communication, KABS has been making an effort to enhance the comprehensive understanding of Buddhism through academic research and discussion.
