Abstract
The Three Gods were placed in a shrine in a temple which can get at the kernel of the unique subject-Korean folk belief. The god of a mountain, the Great Dipper, the belief of self-realized sages are kernel of the question of Korean Buddhist's specific character. The belief of the mountain god was handed down from ancient times and then, the three worlds (of Heaven, Earth and People) were accepted in Buddhism as a defense of the constitution and religion. The belief of the Great Dipper to live long and descendants' prosperity as a Taoism was absolved in Buddhism. It became an important part of Buddhism and occupy a position of popular belief. The belief of self-realized sages become a precedent example of settlement of Buddhism in a new territory and which was combined the original belief of self-realized sages and the belief of Tangun, the founding father of the Korean nation. In conclusion, the belief system of Three Gods is typical case of Korean religion admixture and a symbol of three religion's intermixture (the Shaman, the Buddha, Zen; Buddhist meditation). So it can be shown the people's configuration to the acquired religious mixture. Buddhism tolerate the Indian, the Chinese, the Korean together so they can satisfy their people's wants so were they converted to Buddhism.
