About the KJBS
The Korean Journal of Buddhist Studies (KJBS) has been published by Korean Association of Buddhist Studies (KABS) since December, 2000. It aims to promote Buddhist studies in South Korea and has been recognized as an “Excellent Accredited” Journal by Korean Citation Index system since 2015.
Korea Journal of Buddhist Studies publishes academic papers and critical book reviews quarterly. All published papers go through double-blind peer reviews by three reviewers.
The editorial board of Korea Journal of Buddhist Studies encourages authors to submit academic research in all fields of Buddhist studies, ranging from philological, doctrinal, historical, cultural, methodological, and applied issues on both classical and modern aspects of Buddhism over different geographical area of South, Southeast, Central, and East Asia. It serves as a venue for Korean domestic and international scholars and researchers to report their scholarly works and exchange up-to-date knowledge on diverse traditions of Buddhism.
